Power setting at the motor rocker
(normally not required)
The power for the closing direction can be adjusted. The more
the spring in the suspension turret is pre-tensioned, the higher
the closing power will be. But the power should not be set
higher than necessary.
General information
Prior to registering the first transmitter, execute a reset to make sure only the desi-
red transmitter is registered.
If the motor is blocked or defect, the operator will stop after approximately 5 se-
conds and beep twice.
The lamp will switch off approximately 90 seconds after the last run command.
The operator will run for a maximum of approx. 30 seconds. If the door is not ope-
ned during that time, the operator will switch off.
The switch-off sensitivity is different near the expected end positions. There, the
power limit is more sensitive.
In case of a mains or battery failure, all data will be retained: registered transmit-
ters, reference time 'open', reference time 'close', and the last position of the ga-
rage door (open or closed).
As soon as the operator is re-connected to the power supply, the internal memory
will first be checked. This check takes approximately 4 seconds; during that time,
the garage door cannot be operated.
Summary of the acoustic fault signals:
2 x beep after connecting to power supply: switch fault
Cause: device switch is operated permanently. The switch may be jammed in
the housing. (Beep is then repeated approx. every 3 seconds.)
2 x beep after run command: motor stoppage detected
Cause: motor is blocked or defect.
4 x beep after run command: run is not possible
Cause: pass-door contact is open, or light barrier of power rocker is co-
vered/soiled.
6 x beep after run command: run is not possible
Cause: programme memory of controller is defect. Contact service depart-
ment.
3 x beep after run command: undervoltage detected; run is not possible (only if
battery-operated)
Cause: battery voltage is too low. Run cannot be started. Subsequently, a re-
gular beep will occur for 60 seconds.
3 x beep during run: undervoltage detected; operator will stop (only if battery ope-
rated)
Cause: battery voltage has become too low during run. Run cannot be com-
pleted. Operator will then remain blocked for approx. 10 seconds and cannot
be activated.
5 x beep after run command: thermal protection is active
Cause: the temperature of the MOS-FET transistor on the board is higher than
75°C. Let operator cool down for 20 min.; then restart.
Regular beep after run or permanently: battery voltage is too low
Cause: The battery capacity is almost empty. Recharging required
Operating instructions
In case of improper operation, maintenance, and/or if no original spare parts are
used, the garage-door manufacturer accepts no liability.
Disconnect the mains plug prior to any work on the operator! As electric
shocks can occur, working on electric systems is extremely dangerous. The-
refore, such work may only be carried out by an approved electrician.
Teach all persons who use the garage-door system how to operate it properly
and safely.
When activating the operator, make sure all opening and closing runs are mo-
nitored and neither persons nor objects are in the movement area of the ga-
rage door.
Keep hand transmitter and other remote controls out of reach of children.
Operational sequence
The garage-door operator can be activated by pressing the switch at the operator
head or by other pulse generators such as the hand transmitter, key switch,
etc.Only a short impulse is required
First impulse
Operator will start, and the garage door will move to the set end position OPEN
or CLOSED.
Impulse during run
Door will stop.
Further impulse
Door will continue in the opposite direction.
Keep these mounting, operating, and maintenance instructions during the entire service life of the garage door.
Internal safety device
Power setting
Should the garage door encounter an obstacle during the
run, the operator will stop, and the garage door can be
moved manually.

Pass-door contact (external safety device)
If there is a pass door, a pass-door contact (opener
contact, requirements as per EN 12453) must be connec-
ted. For that purpose, open the operator housing and re-
move the small bridge next to the pass-door terminal on
the printed board with a plain slot screwdriver. If the ope-
rator is activated while the pass door is open, the com-
mand will not be executed, and the operator will beep four
times.
If the bridge has been removed and the pass-door contact is no longer needed, a
bridge must be installed in the terminal.
Emergency/Quick unlocking
When setting or in case of a power cut or malfunction, the garage door can be
unlocked (by turning the inner handle) and then operated manually.
Bright LED lighting
The power LED will switch on automatically when an impulse is triggered and will
switch off again after 90 seconds
Hand transmitter
Programming further hand transmitters (max. 6):
See item 13.c
Changing the battery
Push the battery compartment lid off the hand transmitter.
Insert a new battery (alkaline 23A, 12V). Make sure it is inserted the right way
around.
Push the battery compartment lid back on the hand transmitter.
Maintenance/Checks
– Maintenance work may only be carried out by qualified fitters. –
For your own safety, please have the garage-door system checked prior to the
first commissioning and whenever required, but at least once a year, by a quali-
fied specialist firm!
Checking the power limit
Move the garage door to the end position OPEN.
Put an obstacle (e. g. cardboard box) under the closing edge of the garage
door.
Start the garage door from the end position OPEN.
Operator will stop as soon as the garage door encounters the obstacle.
The power on the main closing edge may not exceed the values required by DIN EN
12453. Depending on how the garage door is used and on national regulations, further
protection measures may be required.
Caution: If the closing power is too high, persons may be injured and/or objects
may be damaged! Power setting: see programming instructions.
2 years works guarantee
In addition to the warranty based on our sales and delivery conditions, we grant a
2 years works guarantee at a maximum of 15,000 operational cycles for the above
operator system. (For the storage battery, see notes on battery operation.)
If it can be proved that material or manufacturing faults have rendered the garage-door
system or parts of it useless or impaired their usability considerably, we shall, at our
own discretion, do the repair work or provide a replacement free of charge.
No guarantee is granted for damages caused by improper installation, commissioning,
operation, maintenance, use, or any unauthorised changes to the operator and ac-
cessories. The same applies to any damage caused during transportation, by force
majeur, foreign objects, natural wear and tear, or atmospheric influences.
No liability is accepted if unauthorised changes or repair work are carried out on fun-
ctional parts or additional filling weight is added which is not compensated by the pre-
scribed multiple spring sets.
Any faults must be communicated to us in writing immediately, and the parts concer-
ned must be sent to us upon request. We will not bear the costs for removal, installa-
tion, freight, and postage. Should a complaint turn out to be unjustified, the customer
must bear our costs.
This guarantee is only valid together with the signed invoice and starts on the day of
delivery.
