with worn threads.
Prevention/Solution
• Replace knob.
• Inspect wire insulation and proper connection. Replace wire if
insulation is broken.
• Use long-stem match (fireplace match).
• See "Match-Lighting" section of Use and Care.
• Check for gas in LP cylinder.
• Turn off knob, wait 30 seconds and light the appliance. If flames are
still low, turn off knob and LP cylinder valve. Disconnect regulator.
Reconnect regulator and leak-test. Turn on LP cylinder valve, wait
30 seconds and then light appliance.
• Turn off knob and LP cylinder valve. Disconnect coupling nut from
cylinder. Reconnect and retry.
• Refill LP cylinder.
• Refer to "Sudden drop in gas flow" above.
• Clean burner and inside of appliance body.
• Trim fat from meat before grilling.
• Adjust (lower) temperature accordingly.
• Turn knob to OFF. Turn gas off at LP cylinder. Let fire burn out. After
appliance cools, remove and clean all parts.
• Turn knob to OFF. Clean burner and/or burner tube. See burner
cleaning section of Use and Care.
• The worn nozzles don't have enough "bite" to engage the valve. Try
a second LP dealer.
• Relocate cooker to a less windy area
• Turn off knob and disconnect coupling nut from LP cylinder.
Reconnect and retry.
• Loosen control panel and valve. Be sure valve is centered top to
bottom and left to right in burner tube. Tighten all components
once proper alignment is achieved.
