2. Picking up the TV sound
The amplifier should be connected to the TV. The amplifier works just as well
if you already have one or more external units connected to the TV (e.g. video,
DVD, digibox, satellite receiver). There are three different ways of transmitting
the sound. For the best sound quality and simplest connection method, A is
recommended as the preferred option, and then option B, C and then D.
Connection option A1: Digital, optical connection
Check if your TV has a digital audio output. This socket is often
marked with "Digital Output (Optical)", but it varies between different
brands of TVs (check the TV's instruction manual).
--> If your TV has not a digital audio output, go to connection option B.
Connection option A2: Digital, Coax connection (extra accessory)
Check if your TV has a digital Coax output (typically labeled "Digital
Out-put (Coax)"). Use a Coax. RCA-3.5 mm cable to connect to the
TV (ordered separately).
