Description:
The product is a separator designed to separate con-
veying air and paper, cardboard or plastics. The sepa-
rator is driven by and directly coupled to an electric
geared motor. The rotor in the separator is attached to
the shaft of the geared motor, the momentum is trans-
ferred to the separators housing via a momentum arm,
and connected to a flanged bearing at the opposite
end.
The rotor is supplied with replaceable rubber blades.

Specifically for ATEX versions:
The separator is equipped with explosion relief valve,
brush shoe and ground straps, to prevent any hazards
related to dust explosions.
The explosion valve will discharge any explosion in a
controlled direction, and reduce or eliminate any flame
formation by means of an integrated flame arrester. A
sensor is mounted onto the explosion valve, allowing
for an activation signal to the plant control unit. Hence
it is possible to monitor any occuring dust explosions,
and take preventive action.
The brush shoe is installed at the end of the gear,
eliminating any sparks that would occur between rotor
and housing due to static discharge.
Ground straps are fitted to equalize the potential of all
main parts of the separator, to avoid any statical elec-
tricity build-up.
The separator is approved for Zone 21 internally, and
Non-zone externally.
Typical application:
Separation of paper, card board and plastic materials.
