INSTALLER
2.1 Receiving the product
The Riello 7200 HP boilers are supplied in a single case, protected
by a nylon bag and placed on a wooden pallet (fig. 4).
The following material is placed inside a plastic bag inside the
packing:
Instruction booklet
Warranty certificate and label with bar code
Spares catalogue
Hydraulic test certificate
The instruction manual is an integral part of the boiler and
it should be read and then kept with care.
2.2 Handling
The boiler must be handled with equipment that is suitable for
the weight of the unit.
Model 7200 300-500 HP (fig. 5a)
Unscrew the bolt (a) from the bottom of the storage cylinder to
release it from the pallet.
To lift the storage cylinder, remove the top cover and screw an
eyebolt suitable for the weight of the storage cylinder and weld-
ed to a fitting (Ø 1"1/4) into the hot water outlet (b). Lift the stor-
age cylinder using a crane or hoist of suitable capacity for the
weight involved.
Model 7200 800 HP (fig. 5b)
Unscrew the three screws from the feet of the storage cylinder (c)
to release it from the pallet.
The storage cylinder comes with an eyebolt (d) ready fitted. Re-
move the top cover and the foam rubber disc to access it. Use a
crane or hoist of suitable capacity for the weight involved.
The casing and the insulation covering can be dismounted
to make it easier to pass through the door of the boiler
room.
Use adequate accident prevention protection.
It is forbidden to abandon and leave the packaging mate-
rial within the reach of children as it can be a source of
risk.
2.3 Installation on system that are old or need
restoration
When Riello 7200 HP boilers are installed on systems that are old
or need modernising, check that:
The installation is fitted with safety and control devices in
compliance with specific regulations.
The system is flushed, clean of sludge, incrustations, bled of
air, and the hydraulic seals are in order
There is a treatment system for particular feeding/recirculation
water (the values indicated in the table can be taken as refer-
ence values).

3.1 Setting up
Before performing the functional test and the starting up
of the boiler it is essential to check the following:
That the non-sanitary hot water circuit water supply
taps are open (fig. 6).
Eventual water connections to the associated heat pump
and the hydraulic system of the solar system have been
made corre ctly.
The washing procedure has been completed correctly
and an eventual solar circuit ha been filled with a mix
of glycol-water, and the air has been bled from the sys-
tem.
3.2
Maintenance
The routine maintenance, essential for the safety, the
performance and the duration of the boiler, reduces con-
sumption and keeps the product reliable over the years.
The maintenance must be carried out by the Riello Techni-
cal Service Centre or by professionally qualified personnel,
at least once each year.
Before performing any maintenance operations:
Cut off the electrical power supply to the components of
the hydraulic circuit and the associated generator, set-
ting the master switch on the system and that on the
boiler control panel to "OFF".
Close the interception devices on the non-sanitary hot
water system.
Empty the boiler, or rather, the secondary circuit of the
boiler if the primary circuit is present.
3.3 Cleaning the boiler and dismounting
the internal components
3.3.1
Outside
The boiler casing must be cleaned using cloths and soap
and water.
If there are persistent stains, dampen the cloth with a
mix of 50% water and denatured alcohol or with specific
products.
On completion, dry the boiler.
Do not use abrasive products, benzene or trichloro-
ethylene.
3.3.2
Inside
With a wrench, loosen the fixing nuts on the flange and
extract the counter-flange together with its gasket
Clean the inside surfaces, and remove any residue
through the opening. When the cleaning is completed,
remount all the components by operating in the reverse
order to that described above.
Tighten the flange fixing bolts with a "crosswise" op-
eration, to apply a uniform pressure on the gasket.
Fill the boiler circuit and check that the gaskets do not
leak
Carry out a performance check.
