Cleaning and Storage

PLEASE NOTE!
The device is not dishwasher-safe.
Do not spray cleaning agents directly onto the device.
Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents, rough sponges or knives to
clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.
1. Clean the housing with a soft, slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent.
2. Clean the glass hob (4) with a soft, damp cloth and a little special cleaner for glass
ceramic. A special hob scraper may be used to remove stubborn dirt.
3. Thoroughly dry off the device before it is stored away.
4. Store the device in a dry place that is protected from sunlight and is not accessible
to children and animals.

Troubleshooting and Error Messages

If the device does not work properly, fi rst check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps listed, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device does not
work. / Nothing is
shown on the display
(G).
The fuse in the fuse
box is triggered.
During use, an
unpleasant smell is
detected.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not
inserted correctly in the plug
socket.
The plug socket is defective.
There is no mains voltage.
The device has overheated.
The fi eld
(D) has not been
pressed.
Too many devices connected
to the same circuit.
A smell often develops when
new devices are fi rst used.
The device is dirty.
Fix
Plug in the mains plug.
Try another plug
socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Wait until it has cooled down,
and try again.
Switch on the device using
the fi eld
.
Reduce the number of
devices in the circuit.
The smell should disappear
once the device has been
used several times.
Follow the instructions in
the "Cleaning and Storage"
chapter.
