Grilling 80-320 °C
To grill sausages, poultry, fish etc. For finishing or keeping
warm steaks.
The entire grill surface is heated.
∙ Turn the rotary control until
∙ P ress the rotary control briefly and turn to select the
desired temperature. Press briefly to confirm.
∙ T he ring starts flashing orange and the appliance is
heating up.
∙ Once the selected temperature has been reached, the
ring shows steady orange.
∙ Place the food on the grill surface.
'Boost-zone' grilling 330-500 °C
For searing or light grilling of steaks.
The boost-zone is located to the right; the left side is
heated to 320 °C.
∙ Turn the rotary control until
∙ P ress the rotary control briefly and turn to select the
desired temperature. Press briefly to confirm.
∙ T he ring starts flashing red and the appliance is heating
up.
∙ Once the selected temperature has been reached, the
ring shows steady red.
∙ Place the food on the boost-zone.
∙ For subsequent cooking, lower the temperature or shift
the food to the left on the grill surface.
Grilling with the core thermometer
∙ Scope of supply: 1 piece
Other core thermometers are available under item no.
8126.
∙ Fit the thermometer plugs into the sockets at the lower
left of the junction box . To prevent the appliance from
switching off, ensure that the box is not lifted up and
stays properly connected.
∙ Select the desired grill function and temperature.
∙ Once pre-heating is complete and the ring shows a
steady light, put on the food.
∙ Push the tips of the thermometers into the centre of the
food.
∙ U se the rotary control to set the desired core
temperature -
or
∙ The display shows the respective current core
temperature.
∙ Once the pre-set core temperature on one thermometer
is reached, three long beep signals are heard.
∙ Remove the respective thermometer and take off the
food.
∙ Note:
The grill plate remains on even after the pre-set core
temperature has been reached.

Stand-by mode
∙ To switch off the heating and return to stand-by mode,
press the rotary control for two seconds.
∙ A lternatively, press the control briefly, set the
temperature to 00 and press again briefly to return to
stand-by mode.
Sleep mode
∙ If the heating is switched off, the appliance will change
to sleep-mode 5 minutes after the last input.
∙ To switch off earlier, press the rotary control for two
seconds.
After grilling
∙ Always disconnect the unit from the mains and allow it to
cool down after grilling.
Cleaning and care
∙ Ensure that the grill is thoroughly cleaned after use.
∙ Before cleaning the grill, ensure it is disconnected from
the power supply and has completely cooled down.
∙ Do not use metallic pads or abrasive cleaning agents.
∙ Remove the wind-guard and grill rack and clean them
in a dish-washer or with warm soapy water. To remove
persistent food residues, they can be left soaking for a
while.
∙ Remove the heating element. To avoid the risk of electric
shock, do not clean the heating element with water and
do not immerse it in water. The junction box may be
wiped with a slightly damp lint-free cloth.
∙ T ake off the reflector inserts and tray and clean them
in a dish-washer or with warm soapy water. To remove
persistent food residues, they can be left soaking for a
while.
∙ The core thermometer tips may be wiped with a moist
cloth.
∙ All other parts can be cleaned with a cloth soaked
in soapy water, and should be wiped completely dry
afterwards.
Hint!
To help clean the wind-guard, grill rack and reflector tray,
baking powder may be used. Mix a paste from water and
baking powder, rub the paste onto the affected areas
and let it take effect for a while. Clean with a soft brush/
sponge and rinse thoroughly afterwards.
