Problem(s)
Gun leaks from the
fluid nozzle.
Paint emerges from the fluid
needle / the needle seals.
The spray pattern is a
sickle shape.
Drop or oval shaped
spray pattern.
Paint spray flutters.
Material bubbles or "boils" in
the paint cup.

Possible Cause(s)
Foreign substances between the
fluid nozzle and the fluid needle
preventing proper sealing.
The self-tensioning needle seal is
damaged or has been lost.
The horn air holes or the air flow
is clogged.
Dirt on the fluid needle tip or
air outlet.
Too little material in the cup, fluid
nozzle is not tight, the needle seal
is damaged, the nozzle set is dirty
or damaged.
Atomization air flows through the
paint channel to the cup. The paint
nozzle is not tight enough. The air
nozzle is not completely screwed
tight, the air filter is clogged and
the seat is defective or the nozzle
insert is damaged.
Suggested Solution(s)
Clean the fluid needle and the
fluid nozzle with solvents or use a
new fluid nozzle.
Replace needle sealing.
Soak the paint gun in solvents,
afterwards, clean with a nozzle-
cleaning needle.
Turn the air nozzle 180 degrees.
If the defective pattern remains,
clean the paint outlet in the
air nozzle.
Refill the material, tighten parts,
if necessary clean or
replace parts.
Tighten parts accordingly, clean
or replace as needed.
