Never secure child in child restraint with child wrapped in a blanket. To keep child warm, place a
blanket over the child AFTER you have properly secured and tightened Harness around the child.
To ensure a better fit with smaller infants, the newborn insert may need to be used. Never place
extra padding under or behind the child. Only use the newborn insert.
If crotch strap is under the child, the crotch strap will need to be adjusted. Refer to page 38 for
"Crotch Strap".
SECURING CHILD WITH HARNESS

bottom flat against the restraint. Pull harness straps
over the child's shoulders and around the child's
waist.
Straps must lie flat, free of twists and in the center
CHEST CLIP
of the child's shoulders.
AT ARMPIT
Make sure there are no twists in the harness straps.
LEVEL
Position chest clip at armpit level as shown.
Never secure child in child restraint with child
dressed in bulky or heavy clothing. Heavy clothing
can prevent Harness from being properly tightened
around the child.
