Mounting instructions
In-line axial fans
The TDM-200 has been manufactured in accordance to the rigorous standards of production
and quality as laid down by the international Quality Standards ISO 9001. All the components
have been checked and all the fi nal products have been tested at the end of the manufacturing
process.
This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infi rm persons unless they
have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the
appliance safely.
Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Check that the appliance is in perfect conditions when unpacking, as any manufacturing
fault is covered by the S&P guarantee.
The installation procedure must be done in accordance to the electrical standards in force
in your country.
Installation
– The TDM-200 has been designed to be either buit-in or duct mounted. In both cases, the
hole or the duct diameter must be 120 mm.
– Once installed, check that the propeller turns freely.
– Connect the electrical wire to the terminal box, feeding it through the cable fi xing
clamp.
Electrical connection
– The TDM-200 is a class II unit (double insulation) and does not need earth connection.
– The fan can be controlled by an independent switch or by a light switch. It can also be
started by an higrostat or an air quality sensor.
– The electrical installation must incorporate a single pole switch with an air gap of at least
3 mm.
– In bathrooms, the unit must be installed in such a way that it is out of the reach of a person
who is under the shower or the bath. The switch must either ceiling pull cord operated or
installed outside the bathroom.
– Precautions must be taken to avoid the back-fl ow of gases into the room from the open
fl ue of gas or other fuel-burning appliances.
