– Check the electrode for discolouration
(standard colour: light brown).
– Check the gap between the electrodes
(standard gap: 0.7 mm to 0.8 mm).
Clean the spark plug
– Remove sooty deposits from the elec-
trode with a wire brush.
Replace the spark plug
– Insert cleaned or new spark plug and
tighten by hand.
– Now tighten the hand-screwed spark
plug using a spark plug wrench and turn-
ing it a quarter turn. Do not tighten the
spark plug too much as otherwise the
thread will be damaged.
– Fit the spark plug connector (8) back on
the plug firmly.
Storage, transportation
Storage
WARNING! Risk of injury! Store the
device in such a way that is cannot
be activated by unauthorised per-
sons.
Ensure that no one is able to hurt
themselves on the stored unit.
NOTICE! Machine damage! Do not
stored unprotected in a damp envi-
ronment.
Transportation
– Parts that extend beyond the device
should be removed.
– When dispatching, try to use the original
packaging, if possible.
When placed out of operation (3 months
or longer)
Remove the fuel from the tank prior to longer
periods of rest.
– Empty the tank.
– Start the motor and allow to run until the
motor switches itself off.
Transporting the device in a motor vehicle
– Allow for the device to cool down.

– Empty the tank.
– Secure the device from sliding and tip-
ping.
Disposal
Disposing of the product
Do not dispose of the product with the
household waste! Proper disposal is manda-
tory. Information can be obtained from the
responsible waste disposal facility.
Disposing of fuels and lubricants
Waste fuels, waste oils, and materials con-
taining oils (air filter, rags, etc.) may not get
into the environment.
– Bring waste materials that could damage
the environment to a collection point of
the dealer or in your community.
Disposing of packaging
The packaging consists of cardboard and
appropriately marked films, which can be
recycled.
– Take these materials to a recycling facil-
ity.
Troubleshooting
What to do when something doesn't
work ...
Malfunctions are often caused by minor
faults. You can easily remedy most of these
yourself. Please consult the following table
before contacting the vendor. You will save
yourself a lot of trouble and possibly money
too.
Cause
Tank empty?
Ignition switch deactivated?
Ignition cable connector not
plugged on?
NOTICE! Risk of fire hazard as well
as environmental damage! Avoid
damage caused by leaking fuel:
Empty the tank according to regula-
tions before disposal.
DANGER! Risk to life! Unprofes-
sional repairs may mean that your
unit will no longer operate safely.
This endangers you and your envi-
ronment.
Remedy
Fill with fuel.
Activate the ignition switch.
Firmly push the connector on-
to the spark plug.
