2.1

General safety advice

DANGER!
If you believe that the unit can no longer be operated safely, you must
decommission it immediately and secure it so that it cannot be used
inadvertently.
This applies:
– if the unit shown visible signs of damage;
– if the unit no longer appears to be operational,
– after prolonged periods of storage under unfavourable conditions.
The following instructions must always be observed when handling the unit:
n Prior to carrying out any work on electric parts, switch off the power supply and secure
the system against being switched back on again.
n The unit must only be operated with the supply and control voltage specified in the
Technical Data section.
n Safety regulations and prescribed protective clothing when handling chemicals must
be observed and the corresponding instructions in the product data sheet of the dosing
medium used must be followed.
n When the bonnet is removed (in the case of a concentration adjustment to be carried
out or as part of maintenance, etc.), be aware that some components may have
elevated temperatures, resulting in a greater risk of injury.
2.2

Intended use, foreseeable misuse

WARNING!
The unit is used exclusively for dosing validated chemicals.
The use of non-validated products can lead to malfunctions, incorrect
dosing, leakage, etc. and thus possibly to health risks!
The unit was developed, designed and built for industrial and commercial use.
The unit is not intended for private use.
Intended use also includes compliance with all operating and operating instructions
prescribed by the manufacturer as well as all maintenance and servicing conditions.
Any use that deviates from the specified purpose or any other type of use shall be
deemed misuse.
WARNING!
Danger of improper use!
Improper use may result in dangerous situations:
– Never use unvalidated dosing media.
– Never change the permissible dosage specifications of the product.
– Do not use in potentially explosive areas.
