Getting started
Position Desklamp at arm's length (about 50cm/20in) with the head
angled towards your face. Connect the power adaptor and plug into
the mains. You can turn the light on and off and adjust the
brightness using the touch-sensitive area on the base.
Touch control lighting
The 'sense' touchpad provides adjustable lighting that means you
can use Desklamp for reading and task lighting as well as light
therapy.
There are four light levels offering approx. 40, 60, 80 and 100% of
full brightness. Press the 'sense' touchpad to turn on the light at low
level, to increase the brightness and then to turn off the light.
Or press and hold to cycle through the four light levels and off -
simply let go at the desired light level.
Using Desklamp
Desklamp has a removable diffuser that easily lifts off to provide
flexible light therapy as well as excellent task lighting.
Position Desklamp at arm's length (about 50cm/20in) with the head
angled towards your face. You shouldn't stare at the light –
especially when using Desklamp without the diffuser – but light
must reach your eyes to have any effect. If you find your eyes ache
slightly, try using it further away, or with the light dimmed or switch
it off for a while.
Without the diffuser – typically 30 minutes
With the diffuser off and the light at full brightness, you're getting
the maximum benefit from Desklamp so you don't need to use it for
long. This provides bright, intensive light therapy (2,500lux at 50cm)
that's ideal if you're pushed for time or need a quick boost at work.
