key
To save your multimedia system in your
user profile, first connect an empty USB
key to the multimedia system to create
a fingerprint. To do this:

the USB socket on your multimedia
system;
– from the main menu, select the
"Navigation" menu;
– select the "Options" menu;
– select the "Map Update" menu from
the second page of the "Options"
menu;
– press the "Options" button at the
bottom of the screen;
– select the "Update" function on your
multimedia system screen.
Note: to insert the USB key into your
multimedia system, refer to the infor-
mation on "Inserting the USB key" in
the "Navigation system" section.

Note: the USB key is not provided with
the system.
Note: The USB key used must be for-
matted to FAT32 format and have a
minimum capacity of 4GB and a maxi-
mum capacity of 32GB.
Note: to register the system data on
the USB key, start the vehicle and do
not switch off the engine while data is
loading.
Note: do not use any of the multimedia
system functions during the procedure.
This installs a fingerprint of your nav-
igation system on the USB key which
will be used by the Toolbox to save your
system in your user profile and to let the
Toolbox determine which updates are
available for your navigation system.
When the process of data recording is
finished, you may remove the USB key
from the multimedia system.
Connect to the Toolbox
Run the Naviextras Toolbox software
and make sure your computer is con-
nected to the Internet.
Connect the USB key previously used
on your multimedia system to your
computer.
If your subscription allows it, and if
Toolbox finds your system on the list
of supported systems, the welcome
screen appears to enable you to con-
nect to your Naviextras account.
