• Carefully check the heat pad before each use, if you notice wear or damage.
• Do not use if you notice wear, damage or signs of improper use on the
heat pad, the switch or the cables. Return it to the supplier.
• Before connecting the device to your power supply, please ensure that the
supply voltage stated on the rating plate is compatible with your mains
supply.
• Do not fold or crease the heat pad during use.
• Neither pierce the pad with, nor attach safety pins or other spiky or sharp
objects to the pad.
• Do not use the heat pad on children or persons who are disabled, asleep or
insensitive to heat.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the ap-
pliance.
• Never use the pad unsupervised.
• The device is only for private use and is not to be used in hospitals.
• Do not fall asleep while the heat pad is switched on.
• Prolonged use of the heated cushion at a high setting could lead to skin
burns.
• Do not cover the pad with any other cushions. The control switch should not
be covered or placed on or below the pad while the unit is in operation.
• Do not sit on the heat pad. Instead, rest the pad on or against the part of
the body to be treated. The intended use of the HP 610 is to treat only back
and neck.
• Never touch a heat pad that has fallen into water. Unplug the unit from the
mains outlet immediately.
• Keep the mains lead away from hot surfaces.
• Never carry, pull or turn the heat pad by the mains lead and do not let the
lead get tangled.
• Do not use the heat pad when wet and only use it in dry environments (not
in the bathroom or similar environments).
• The controls and leads must not be exposed to any kind of moisture.
• If a fault occurs, do not attempt to repair the unit yourself. Repairs must only
be carried out by an authorized specialist dealer or other suitably qualified
personnel.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• A damaged power supply cable must be replaced with a power cable of the
same type.
• When storing the heat pad, allow it to cool down before folding.
• Should you have any concerns about health issues, consult your doctor be-
fore using the heat pad.
• Do not use the heat pad on parts of the body that are swollen, injured or
inflamed.
• Should you experience persistent pains in the muscles and joints, please
inform your doctor. Persistent pains can be a symptom of serious illness.
• If you experience any pain or discomfort while using the unit, stop using it
immediately.
