Ladder control sheet
Form for the inspection of ladders and steps in accordance with the regulations for
the prevention of accidents BGV D 36 (previously VBG 74) and GUV 6.4 respective-
ly. Developed in cooperation with the „Building Facilities" technical committee of the
employers' liability insurance association.
The regulation for the prevention of accidents demands that an appointed person pe-
riodically verifies the proper condition of ladders and steps. The time periods for
these inspections depend on the frequency of use, the load when used and the num-
ber and seriousness of the discovered defects in previous inspections.
Proof of regular inspections is required for guarantee claims.
The results of these inspections is to recorded in the table overleaf. See test seal for
next inspection.
