Type RVG and Type RVG-ST:
Re-close all oil filler necks (seal using O-rings).
The time interval for checking the oil level depends on the individual operating conditions
and gas qualities. Generally, check the oil level every 2 months.
If the operator's experience shows otherwise, then the inspection intervals can be
extended. In the case of operation with natural gas, the oil should generally be changed
every 5 years, or earlier in the case of contamination.
Never transport a rotary gas meter containing oil. Make sure that the oil is drained out
before transporting the meter (e.g. when sending the meter for repairs), otherwise the oil
will penetrate the measuring chamber and damage the meter.
