The Fresh Zone (RT40A****, In some models)
Keeping food in the Fresh Zone, instead of the freezer or refrigerator
compartments, allows food to retain freshness and flavour for longer, while
preserving its fresh appearance. When the fresh zone tray becomes dirty,
remove it and wash with water.
(Water freezes at 0°C, but food containing salt or sugar freezes at temperatures
lower than this).
The fresh zone is usually used for storing foods such as raw fish, lightly pickled
food, rice, and so on.
To make ice cubes:
• Tray ice maker: Fill the tray with water up
to the maximum level (A) as shown in the
illustration.
• Ice tray: Fill the tray with water up to the
maximum level marked on the inner rear of
the tray.
To empty the ice tray, hold both ends of the
tray and gently twist to remove the ice cubes.
