2. OPERATION
2.1 START UP

It is assumed that the Gateway is properly installed according to the installation manual.
Power the Gateway on and wait for three minutes until all the services are fully initiated.
❚ 2.2 SECURITY
2.2.1 WI-FI ACCESS POINT
AP Name: Gateway_XXXXX
• XXXXX are the 5 last numbers of the Gateway Serial Number.
• For example, a Gateway with serial number CT2004300058, the AP SSID is
"Gateway_00058"
Default password for AP connection: RocaGroup1917
2.2.2 ACCESS PASSWORD
To access the gateway a password is required in the login page. This password is not
the platform user password and have a default value for all the gateways when they are
delivered from the factory.
Users can change its value to protect the gateway access.
Default password: RocaGroup1917
If the default password has been changed and the new password is lost or forgotten, is
possible to connect to the IoT Cloud Platform using the authorized user and password
credentials used for registering the gateway, and recover the last password synchronized
with the platform.
❚ 2.3 ACCESS TO WEB SERVER
There are 3 different ways to access the Web Server: Wi-fi AP, Ethernet direct connection
or Ethernet via Network.
2.3.1 WI-FI AP
The Roca Gateway is capable of generating a Wi-fi AP to be able to connect using any
device that has Wi-fi capabilities, but due to the complexity of some configurations that
needs to be done is recommended to use a Desktop or Laptop computer to do so.
The AP remains inactive all the time and is necessary to be physically with the Gateway to
activate it.
