3.2- Special warnings when using the pump
1. Become familiar with the controls and the proper use of the equipment.
2. The use of this product by unsupervised children is forbidden.
3. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
- children shall not play with the appliance.
- cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision
4. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its after sales service or a
person with similar qualification in order to avoid any danger.
If the power cable or extension cord is damaged or cut during operation, immediately disconnect plug
from its main power source. Do not touch the cable or extension cord before unplugging from main
power.
3.3- Safety prescriptions
1. The supply voltage should correspond to that given on the rating label (230 V-50Hz).
Do not use any other type of power supply.
2. The pump should be supplied by a circuit fitted with a residual current device (circuit breaker,
RCD) with a sensitivity not exceeding 30mA.
Connect control box before operating the pump.
Consult with a qualified electrician.
3. The supply cable should be checked periodically and before each use to see if there are any signs of
ageing or damage.
4. If an extension is used, ensure that it is officially approved. Keep it well away from sharp edges,
heat sources and combustibles.
5. The plug-in connector for the extension should be of the 2 poles + earth of type 10-16A/250V, in
accordance with IEC and European standards. The wire section in the cable should be equal to or
2
greater than 1mm
. The cable should not be lighter than cables of H07 RN-F.
6. When disconnecting the power cable from the socket, always grip the plug itself and not the cable.
7. If the pump is used for emptying a pond, it should not be used when there are people or animals in
the pond. Similarly, to avoid accidents during pump operation: washing, swimming or domestic
animals bathing, watering is strictly forbidden around the pump operating area.
8. When the pump is immersed, handling should not be carried out using the power cable, but by
using a device (for ex. a rope) connected to the grommets (7).
9. Water pollution may occur following lubricant leakage.
10. If the pump is not in good condition, do not use it. Have it repaired by an authorized center.
3.4- Safety related to pump applications
The following conditions must be observed when using the water pump:
1. The pump must be installed and used in compliance with national/local laws.
2. The pump is used for small diameter well. It is widely used in areas of low water level, high head
and far distance to draw water.
3. These pumps are recommended for pumping clean water and chemically non-aggressive fluids.
4. They are not suitable for pumping inflammable liquids or for operating in places where there is
danger of fire or explosion.
5. When storing, do not pile weights or other boxes on top of the pump.
6. The manufacturer declines all responsibility in the event of accident or damage due to negligence
or failure to observe the instructions described in this book or in conditions that differ from those
indicated on the rating plate. It also declines all responsibility for damage caused by improper use of
the water pump.
7. Pumping medium is clean water, which temperature must be below 35°C or other non-corrosive
liquids with same physical and chemical characters as water; with a PH value between 6.8 and 8.
