INSTALLATION INFORMATION FOR THE INSTALLER
WARNINGS
IN ORDER TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN THE PRODUCT CORRECTLY, THE MANUFACTURER RECOMMENDS COMPLYING WITH THE REGULATIONS AND THE
SUGGESTIONS PROVIDED IN THIS MANUAL.
THIS WILL ENSURE THAT THE PRODUCT FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY AND THAT THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY IS FULLY APPLICABLE.
PRE INSTALLATION CHECKS
BEFORE YOU START INSTALLATION:
CHECK THE INTEGRITY OF THE PACKAGING AS INDICATED ON THE PACK;
REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE FILM ON THE PRODUCT, IF PRESENT, AND CHECK THAT THE SURFACE IS NEITHER SCRATCHED NOR DENTED;
USE A METAL RULER/BAR TO CHECK THAT THE PRODUCT DOES NOT PRESENT DEFORMATIONS CAUSED BY INCORRECT STORAGE. IF A DEFORMED
PRODUCT IS INSTALLED, THE WARRANTY IS VOID. DEFORMATIONS OF 2 MM PER METRE FALL WITHIN THE MANUFACTURING TOLERANCE AND THEREFORE
ARE NOT CONSIDERED DEFECTS;
LEAVE THE SHOWER TRAY IN THE CARBOARD PACKAGING UNTIL IT IS READY TO BE INSTALLED;
CHECK THE ACCESSIBILITY OF THE PLUMBING;
ONCE THE PRODUCT IS INSTALLED, THE MANUFACTURER CANNOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE DAMAGE MENTIONED ABOVE.
PROTECTION DURING WORK
WHEN INSTALLING THE PRODUCT AND DURING WORK, PROTECT THE SURFACE OF THE TUB WITH CARDBOARD OR SHEETS OF PLASTIC TO PREVENT
DAMAGE CAUSED BY PAINTS, MORTAR, ADHESIVES OR DEBRIS.
INSTALLER
A PERSON CAPABLE OF DEMONSTRATING TO THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES THAT HE/SHE IS KNOWLEDGABLE AND SKILLED IN APPLYING NATIONAL
REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS CONCERNING SAFETY, I.E. ELECTRICITY AND WATER SUPPLY, AND DISPOSAL.
INSTALLATION
THE INSTALLER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CHOOSING THE MATERIALS AND COMPLYING WITH THE STANDARDS AND LAWS.
PREPARING THE SITE:
CHECK THAT THE FLOOR AND SURFACE ARE LEVEL AND FLAT. PREPARE A SUITABLY SIZED WELL WHERE THE DRAIN IS, WHICH CAN HOLD THE DRAIN KIT.
THE WELL MUST BE POSITIONED ACCORDING TO THE POSITION AND DIMENSIONS OF THE SHOWER TRAY.
PREPARING THE SHOWER TRAY:
REMOVE THE PACKAGING FROM THE SHOWER TRAY.
INSTALL THE DRAIN KIT ON THE SHOWER TRAY AS SPECIFIED BY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE DRAIN KIT.
POSITION THE SHOWER TRAY IN THE PLACE WHERE IT IS TO BE INSTALLED LIFTING IT UP USING WOODEN BLOCKS AND CONNECT UP ALL OF THE
PLUMBING FOR THE DRAIN.
TURN THE TAPS ON AND ALLOW WATER TO RUN INTO THE SHOWER TRAY; CHECK FOR ANY LEAKS FROM THE PLUMBING.
PLACE THE SHOWER TRAY ON THE FLOOR, CHECKING THAT IT IS PERFECTLY LEVEL, AND SEAL ALL THE WAY AROUND THE EDGE OF THE SHOWER TRAY BASE
USING ACETIC SILICONE.
IF THE SHOWER TRAY IS INSTALLED FLUSH TO THE FLOOR OR SEMI RECESSED, LEAVE 2 3 MM CLEARANCE AROUND THE EDGE TO BE SEALED WITH ACETIC
SILICONE TO ALLOW FOR THERMAL EXPANSION.
LEAVE THE SILICONE TO DRY FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE USING THE SHOWER TRAY OR ASSEMBLING THE WALLS .
THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT LIABLE IF THE PRODUCT IS INSTALLED IN ROOMS WHERE THE STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS ARE NOT TO STANDARD OR FOR
WORK PERFORMED BY UNQUALIFIED OR UNSKILLED PERSONNEL.
