❶ Turn off power to the resistance to be measured and discharge capacitors. Any
voltage present during a resistance measurement will cause inaccurate readings.❷
Connect red test lead to V•Ω Input and black test lead to COM Input. ❸ Set
Function/Range Switch to the desired Ω position. ❹ Connect test leads to resistance or
circuit to be measured. Read resistance value on Digital Display. Open circuits will be
displayed as an overload condition.
Note: For low resistance values, measure resistance of test leads first by contacting
probe tips, and deduct this value from actual measurement.
Note for 23/27XT: The 2000MΩ range has a fixed 10-count offset in the reading. For
example, when measuring 1100MΩ, the display reads 1110. The 10 residual must be
subtracted to obtain the actual value of 1100MΩ.
