RIM TAPE INSTALLATION
TUBELESS RIM TAPE INSTALLATION
OQUO wheels with Tubeless Ready designation
have tubeless rim tape installed, however, if
your wheels do not have tubeless tape or it
needs to be replaced due to wear, please follow
the instructions below.
The tubeless tape installed as
NOTICE
standard on OQUO Tubeless Ready
wheels is compatible with the use
of inner tubes. If you replace the
original tape with another tubeless
tape, check that the new tape is
compatible with inner tubes if you
are going to install an inner tube on
the wheel.

USER MANUAL
01 Clean the inside of the rim with alcohol to
remove any glue, grease or impurities.
02 Looking at the rim from above the valve
hole, start taping the tubeless tape
between the second and third spoke
on one side of the valve hole and in the
direction of the valve hole.
03 Keep the tape centered and apply tension
as you tape to avoid air bubbles. Press
the tape firmly against the rim every few
centimeters to ensure a proper fit.
04 Place a full circumference of tape around
the rim and cut the tape between the
second and third spokes once you have
passed the valve hole, creating a two-layer
tape overlap in the valve area.
Make sure that the exposed end of the
tape is firmly attached.

Always use the correct width tape
NOTICE
for your wheel. The tape should not
be stuck against the sidewalls of the
rim and should properly cover the
bottom of the rim to avoid air leaks.
05 Using an punch (do not use a knife or
cutter), drill the tape at the valve hole lo-
cation. The hole should be slightly smaller
in diameter than the valve (Fig. A).

To install non-tubeless tape on Tubeless Ready
wheels, or to replace the rim tape on non-
tubeless ready OQUO wheels, check that the
tape to be installed is compatible with the
ETRTO designation of the rim.
The tape must be compatible with the inner cir-
cumference of the rim (622 or 584), complete-
ly cover the rim tape and be centered on the
rim tape to avoid damage to the inner tube.
Do not use non-Tubeless Ready or

UST tires or Tubeless Ready or UST
tubeless tires without inner tubo
on non-Tubeless Ready wheels or
Tubeless Ready wheels without the
use of a tubeless rim tape.
