If you want to run the learning procedure of the detector again on a control unit after a factory reset, follow all the steps listed in
the "Connecting to the system" paragraph again, starting from extracting the batteries from their housing.
Installation guidelines
The detector was designed to be mounted on a flat surface or in a corner by means of the fixing screws and the anchor bolts
provided.
The base has hole arrangements where the plastic is thinner for mounting. The two arrangements are used to fix on a surface
while the four arrangements are used for fixing in a corner, as shown in the figure.
It is advisable to install the detector as shown below.
In the point in which a possible intruder would normally cross the field of vision
-
of the detector.
At a height of 1.9-2 m from the ground for optimal performance.
-
In a corner to have the widest view possible.
-
In a point in which the field of vision is not obstructed, e.g. by curtains, ornaments etc.
-
Restrictions
Do not position the detector pointing directly towards a door protected by a door contact, because the wireless signals
-
of the door contact and of the detector could be transmitted in the same instant and cancel themselves out.
Do not install the detector so that it is completely exposed to direct sunlight.
-
Avoid installing the detector in areas in which devices which could cause sudden changes of temperature in the
-
detection area are present, such as air conditioning units, radiators etc.
Avoid the presence of large size obstacles in the detection area.
-
Do not point it directly towards sources of heat, such as stoves or boilers, or over radiators.
-
Avoid moving objects in the detection area, such as curtains, hanging objects etc.
-
Detector mounting
Surface mounting:
1. Loosen the fixing screw and delicately lift the cover to prevent
damaging the tamper switch.
2. Perforate the hole arrangements on the base for fixing on a
surface.
3. Using the two holes as template, make the holes corresponding to
the surface.
4. Insert the anchor bolts if the device is fixed to plaster or bricks.
5. Screw the base into the anchor bolts.
6. Reposition the cover onto the base.
Corner mounting:
1. Loosen the fixing screw and delicately lift the cover to prevent
damaging the tamper switch.
2. Perforate the hole arrangements on the base for fixing in a corner.
3. Using the two holes as template, make the holes corresponding to the surface.
4. Insert the anchor bolts if the device is fixed to plaster or bricks.Screw the base into the anchor bolts.
5. Reposition the cover onto the base.
