Notes on low battery level control
When battery level drops below 6 V, this information is inserted
in all transmissions to the control unit. The sound signal
doubles its operating frequency and the beacon flashes more
rapidly.
If the sound and optical signals have been bypassed using DIP
switches 5 and 6, they will activate automatically when the
batteries are low. In case of a low battery signal contact the
installer who will replace the battery.
Battery replacement
You should replace the existing battery pack with the new
AS620RF-BP alkaline battery pack only. To replace the battery
pack:
1.
Take-off the internal cover and remove connector J2.
2.
Remove hubs from both sides of the plastic bracket (see
Figure 6). Do not put them back after the first change of
the battery pack.
3.
Take-off the battery pack, replace it with a new one, put
back the fixing bracket and insert connector J2 again.
4.
Check correct operating of the siren by generating an
alarm, then put back the cover of the siren.
Note:
Batteries are filled with reactive chemicals and must be
handled as hazardous waste. Check your town or city
guidelines for proper disposal.
