Voice Commands
Once your Frontier Nuvola account is successfully linked to your Amazon account, you can
use your Alexa enabled smart device to control your IR3300 speaker.
Typically, after using the Amazon wake word "Alexa" (alternative wake words are: "Echo",
"Amazon" or "Computer") a command will need to specify what you want doing, on which
device <wake word> <command> <on which device>.
For example:
"Alexa, change input to DAB on kitchen"
Note: Supported command words are controlled by Amazon and will develop over time as the
capabilities of Alexa are expanded. The commands listed here merely examples, which work
at the time of publication, to familiarize you with a voice control environment.
For voice control the volume is defined in steps between 0 (min) and max (10). The steps are
mapped to the equivalent values in the volume range 0 (min) to 32 (max) supported by
IR3300 speakers.
Note: The "Mute" state cuts audio output to the speaker without changing the current volume
setting and is not the same as reducing volume to 0 (min). The "unmute" command removes
a "mute" state but does not change a volume setting of 0 (min).
"Alexa, set volume to 5 on kitchen"
Set volume accordingly to the appropriate value.
"Alexa, mute kitchen"
Set speaker to mute.
"Alexa, switch input to Internet Radio on kitchen"
Switch the mode on the selected speaker. The modes can be: IR or Internet Radio, Spotify,
FM, DAB, Bluetooth, Aux In.
