General Safety Precautions
All local and international safety and accident prevention regulations must be followed
including any appropriate DIN and VDE norms and guidelines.
Personnel qualifications
Any personnel who will be installing, operating, inspecting or servicing this product must
be properly qualified. In case any personnel does not possess the necessary know-how,
this person must be fully trained.
Danger – Electrical Current
The system operates on electrical current. Noncompliance with the operating instruc-
tions may result in considerable damage to property, personal injuries or even fatal
accidents. This unit should be completely disconnected from power before any work is
undertaken. The main power switch and the fuse should be turned off / disconnected
and secured against accidental reconnection. If only a fuse is available for disconnec-
tion, the fuse must be clearly marked to avoid a third party from accidentally turning the
fuse back on. VDE 0100 must be followed when any electrical work is performed on the
unit. The unit must be supplied with a residual current device (RCD) with a 30mA rating.
The control unit is connected to power and should not be opened. Only qualified electri-
cians should conduct any work on this system. The definition of qualified electricians is
defined in VDE 0105. All electrical cables must be in perfect operating order / condition.
The system should not be placed into operation or immediately disconnected from its
power source in the case that the cables or the control unit show any signs of damage.
All cables should be properly installed as to prevent a kink in the cable.
Burn risk for hands and fingers
The system can reach high temperatures during operation.
