DEFLECTOR ADJUSTMENT KIT #700239-1
a) Remove both adjustment knobs from deflector and replace them by two 5/16'' nylon insert lock nuts (item 2). Make sure to install a
nylon washer between the chute and the deflector and another nylon washer (item 3) between the deflector and the nut. Do not tighten
the nut completely, leave slightly loose so the deflector may move freely.
SUGGESTION: Apply oil to the hinge.
b) Install the actuator assembly (item 8) on the deflector in the appropriate holes. Secure with two hex bolts 1/4 x 3/4'' (item 9) with
heads of bolts inside the deflector and on outside insert two flat washers (item 10). Slide actuator (item 8) onto bolts and secure with
two nylon insert lock nuts (item 11). Tighten nuts loosely allowing the actuator to move freely.
If tractor has a snow cab installed, go to step d).
c) Install the arm support (item 4) on the handle support (item 5) using a carriage bolt 5/16 x 1-1/2'' (item 6) in the appropriate hole.
Secure in place using one of the adjustment knobs (item 1) previously removed. Tighten firmly. Move the control lever in the farthest
position forward possible. Verify that the cable is just slightly tensioned. If the cable is not as mentioned, unscrew the wire stop (item
7), adjust cable and retighten wire stop. Install the handgrip (item 16) on the control lever.
d) To accommodate controls inside the cab, you must pierce a hole in the front window of cab to pass the cable through. Disconnect the
cable by removing the wire stop (item 7). Remove cable from actuator and insert cable through hole in window from inside the cab.
Mount the arm support (item 4) to the handle support (item 5) using a carriage bolt 5/16 x 1-1/2'' (item 6) in the appropriate hole and
secure in place with an adjustment knob (item 1) previously removed from deflector. Tighten firmly.
e) Place the control lever in the farthest position forward possible. Re-attach the cable to the actuator.
TIP: To facilitate inserting the cable you may dismount the bottom portion of the actuator by removing the bottom nylon insert lock
nut (item 11), insert the cable and refasten the bottom portion of the actuator then pull on the cable. The cable must be slightly
tensioned. Re-install the wire stop (item 7). Install the handgrip (item 16) on the control lever.
