1. Technical description:
The AWZ 522 (PSU-S-12V/S-0,5A/1/FTA-TRZ-MOD) power supply is designed as supplying
element in industrial television systems. It is intended for supplying cameras installed in external
housings: GL606 TH, TSH series, and other, conforming to mounting openings A-A and dimensions. It
features two outputs intended for purposes of supplying:
•
Industrial (CCTV) camera requiring 12V/DC, 0.5A max. supply,
- utilization of switching power supply system of high energetic efficiency, minimises thermal
losses, thus increasing capacity,
- supplying of switching power supply with 20V DC voltage and overvoltage protection, increases
overload reliability and durability of the power supply.
- optical indication of 12V/DC output
•
Heaters of external housing require 230V/AC supply voltage, 1A max.
Bimetal thermostat of the power supply switches the heater circuit automatically, at:
- temperature of switching the heater supply on ton=15°C (+/- 2°C)
- temperature of switching the heater supply off toff=25°C (+/- 2°C)
Remarks:
•
Using the power supply as self-contained supply device is impermissible!
•
The camera housing, intended for the power supply installation must be equipped with electric
shock protection circuit, and protective circuit connection terminal, marked with grounding
symbol, i.e. GND, PE or
•
Protection class of the enclosure must be IP45 as a minimum.
2. Installation:
The power supply unit is to be assembled by a qualified installer, holding the relevant certificates,
required and necessary in the particular country for connecting (interfering with) the 230 V AC systems
and low-voltage installations. Because the power supply unit is designed for the continuous operation and
is not equipped with ON/OFF switch, the power supply line should have the appropriate overload
protection. The user should be informed hot to disconnect the power supply unit from the mains (usually
be means of the separate fuse in the fuse-box). The power supply installation should conform to the
applicable standards and law.
Prior to commencing installation it is necessary to make sure if the voltage
All service works inside the housing must be carried out with 230V/AC supply
1. Dismantle original thermostat and terminal board located in the housing.
2. Install the power supply by screwing it with original cheese head screws (bolts) through
A-A openings. (FIG.2)
3. Connect housing heater wires to HEATER 230V/AC L-N terminals.
4. Install housing of the camera in dedicated place and bring in the connecting and signal conductors
through cable bushings.
Remarks:
•
Supply circuit ~230V should be carried out with three-core cable
(with yellow-green protective PE conductor).
5. Supply conductors ~230V should be connected to 230V / AC L-N terminals of power supply.
6. Protective conductor should be connected to the terminal marked with grounding symbol.
Operating the power supply without properly made and technically
Operational electric shock protection circuit is IMPERMISSIBLE!
This creates hazard of equipment damage and risk of electric shock.
7. Install the CCTV camera (with lens, as an option) on mounting plate of the housing.
8. Connect output of 12V/DC power supply to the camera, using dedicated plug or conductors.
9. Switch on 230V/AC supply and check condition of the LED indicating presence of voltage on 12V/DC
output.
10. Check the camera operation, making necessary adjustments.
11. Close camera housing.
Remarks:
•
When closing the camera housing one should pay attention not to damage conductors located
in the housing.
