HDMI Matrix Remote
CEC
Via HDMI-CEC, a television can activate and control connected HDMI devices. CEC is also called
SimpLink, VieraLink, Anynet+, BraviaSync, Easy Link, depending on the TV manufacturer. CEC will
cause malfunctions if it is activated with 2 connected TVs. Therefore, switch off CEC on one of
the TVs. The HDMI Matrix Switch supports the CEC function only on HDMI input 1.
HDMI cable
Note that the higher the data rate of the AV signal, the more critical the cable length becomes.
This is because the bandwidth requirement increases and higher frequencies are used. The higher
a frequency is, the more it is attenuated in the cable. For the highest data rates of 18 Gbps (equiv-
alent to an Ultra-HD signal at 60 Hz), we recommend a maximum cable length of 5 m at the inputs
and 3 m at the outputs. If you need longer ranges, you can use special HDMI cables with fiber op-
tic data lines or active cables. Make sure that the maximum data rate or HDMI 2.0b is supported.
Remote control
The supplied infrared remote control controls the same func-
tions as the buttons on the front panel:
• The red button turns the HDMI Matrix Switch on or off.
