5.5. Installation of the "Unibox E BV"

To guarantee a perfect operation of
the "Unibox E BV", the direction of flow
has to be observed when installing the
pipework and the "Unibox"
• Provide derivation from the supply pipe of
the two pipe heating system.
• The derivation pipe is connected to the
"Unibox E BV". The direction of flow mar-
ked on the valve body has to be observed.
Remove the protection cover of the "Uni-
box E BV" as well as the front cover of the
fixing channel.
The "Unibox E BV" is mounted in front
of the surface heating circuit.
• The surface heating circuit is laid starting
from the "Unibox E BV".
• Starting from the surface heating circuit, the
pipe is laid back to the fixing channel and is
connected to the heating circuit isolation be-
low the "Unibox E BV". The direction of flow
of the heating circuit isolation must be ob-
served
• Starting from the heating circuit isolation, a
connecting pipe is laid to the return pipe of
the system.
The surface heating can be installed with any
standard pipe material.
Installation and operating instructions
The Oventrop programme includes a variety
of compression fittings. The corresponding
installation instructions are to be observed.
Insert the copper pipe a maximum of 5
mm deeper than the fitting.
An open ring spanner 30 mm, e.g. Oventrop
item no. 1401091, is recommended to tighten
the fittings.
Further information can be obtained from the
installation and operating instructions of the
fixing channel with isolating facility item no.
1022654 (on the internet under www.oven-
trop.com).

5.6. Floor construction
Regarding thermal and sound insulation, the
construction has to comply with the valid
rules, standards and regulations.

5.7. Leakage test

After installation, the system can be filled and
bled, e.g. at the valve.
Then carry out a leakage test accor-
ding to EN 1264. The tightness and the test
pressure are to be documented in a test
report.
Now remount the protection cap of the valve.

5.8. Heating up

After all plastering finished, a heating screed
complying with standards has to be laid.
