12. PLAY / PAUSE BUTTON
Press to start, again to pause and then again to continue play.
13. PITCH CONTROL
Illuminates when pressed, adjust pitch using the slide control.
14. PITCH BEND CONTROL
Used to speed up or slow down the CD while pressed.
15. TRACK SELECT BUTTONS
Used to select the next or previous track.
16. SEARCH CONTROL
Used to select the track start position.
17. CONTINUE/SINGLE
Press this switch to step between the four operating modes:
MODE 1 Auto Cue / Single (Power-up mode)
MODE 2 Continue
MODE 3 Auto Cue / Single - Relay
MODE 4 Continue - Relay
MODES OF OPERATION
MODE 1 : AUTO CUE/SINGLE
The display shows the words AUTO CUE SINGLE. In this
mode each CD player works independently of each other.
The CD player will play one track and pause.
MODE 2 : CONTINUE
The display shows the word CONTINUE. In this mode each
CD player works independently of each other. The CD player
will play all tracks on the CD and pause.
MODE 3 : AUTO CUE/SINGLE - RELAY
The display on both players will flash italic words AUTO CUE
SINGLE. In this mode the one CD player will play one track,
and pause and immediately start the track on the second
player. At the end of this track the first CD player will play the
next track. While in this mode pressing pause on the player
that is playing will cause the other player to start playing.
MODE 4 : CONTINUE - RELAY
The display on both players will flash the italic word
CONTINUE. In this mode one of the CD players must be in
the stop condition. (Press TIME/STOP for 3 seconds). The
other player will play all tracks on the CD and go into the
STOP mode. The second player will start playing and play all
tracks.
18. TIME/STOP
This button switches the time display between elapsed
playing time, each remaining time and total remain time; and
also switches on and off the "Outro" function. When the
display shows OUTRO, the player only plays the last 30
seconds of each track.
Pressing this for longer than 3 seconds places the CD into
stop mode.
19. CD FADER START
Automatic CD start/stop control function.

ANTI-SHOCK MEMORY

This CD player is equipped with an anti-shock memory and can store music for up to 10 seconds.

Setting up and Connecting the Unit

The control unit and the player mechanism unit are designed for installation into a rack (482 mm/19"),
however, they can also be used as table top units. In any case, the player mechanism unit must be operated in a
horizontal position while it is also possible to install the control unit as desired, e. g. in an inclined position. For rack
installation, 5 RS are required for the control unit and 2 RS for the player mechanism unit (RS = rack space = 44.45
mm).
1) Connect the control unit and the player mechanism unit to the two supplied cables:
Connect the 6-pole cable to the jack CONNECT TO MAIN UNIT 1 of the control unit and to the jack CONNECT TO REMOTE
CONTROL 1 of the player mechanism unit.
Connect the 8-pole cable to the jack CONNECT TO MAIN UNIT 2 of the control unit and to the jack CONNECT TO REMOTE
CONTROL 2 of the player mechanism unit.
2) Connect the output LINE OUT 1 of player mechanism 1 via a cable with phono connectors to the input CD 1 of the
control unit and the out-put LINE OUT 2 to the input CD 2.
If another mixer or an amplifier with digital inputs is used, it is also possible to use the two digital outputs DIGITAL OUT.
3) It is possible to connect further stereo audio sources to the corresponding phono input jacks of channels CH 1 to CH
4:
— units with line level output (e. g. minidisk recorder, CD player, cassette recorder) to the jacks LINE ;
— turntables with magnetic system to the jacks PHONO.
Connect the ground connections of the turntables to the terminal screw GND.
