PROBLEM(S)
Tool will not
shut off.
Loss of power
or erratic
performance.
Decreased
output.
Severe air
leakage.
(Slight air
leakage is
normal,
especially on

POSSIBLE CAUSE(S)
1. Throttle valve o-ring
dislodged from inlet
valve seat.
2. Trigger mechanism
jammed or dirty.
1. Excessive drain on
the air hose.
Incorrect size or
type of hose
connectors.
2. Moisture or
restriction in the air
hose/tank
3. Air compressor has
insufficient flow.
1. Obstructed trigger.
2. Incorrect lubrication
or not enough
lubrication.
3. Air leaking from
loose housing.
1. Cross-threaded
housing
components.
2. Loose housing.
3. Damaged valve or
housing.
4. Dirty, worn, or
damaged valve.
1. Incorrect lubrication
or not enough
lubrication.
2. Worn parts.
3 in. Air Polisher
SUGGESTED SOLUTION(S)
1. Replace throttle valve
o-rings.
2. Clean trigger mechanism and
lubricate.
1. Check the air hose and confirm
the hose fitting is correct for the
inlet bushing.
2. Depressurize system and drain
tank and air hose of water.
3. Ensure tool is connected to a
compressor with a rate flow that
matches the tool.
1. Clean around the trigger to
ensure free movement.
2. Lubricate using air tool oil
according to directions.
3. Make sure housing is properly
assembled and tight.
1. Check for incorrect alignment
and uneven gaps. If cross-
threaded, disassemble and
replace damaged parts before
use.
2. Tighten housing assembly. If
housing cannot tighten properly,
internal parts may be misaligned.
3. Replace damaged components.
4. Clean or replace valve assembly.
1. Lubricate using air tool oil
according to directions.
2. Have a qualified technician
inspect the internal mechanism
and replace parts as needed.
