Test Run the Bath With Airjets (cont.)
Preliminary Checks
Temporarily remove all access panels.
Ensure that the area around the blower is free of sawdust, insulation, dirt, or other small loose
debris.
Verify the union connection at the check valve is securely hand tightened.
Verify the air harness connections from the blower to the butterfly valves are properly connected
and supported.
Verify the piping from the check valve to the butterfly valves is properly connected and supported.
Ensure that the cable ties or other clips are supporting the air supply harness and electrical
harnesses at the bath.
Ensure any unused electrical connectors are supported above the floor.
Check all electrical connections. Verify the electrical power to the bath is turned on.
Ensure all air harness connections are tightened.
Verify that the blower banding straps have been cut, and that the blower control is resting directly
on the subfloor. Make sure the rubber isolation feet are in place.
Confirm Blower Operation
Remove the protective drop cloth from the bath.
Fill the bath to a level at least 2" (5.1 cm) above the top of the highest airjet.
Press the power button on the user keypad.
Observe that the user keypad icons illuminate. The air flow mode icon and the chromatherapy cycle
icon (if provided) will illuminate green. The Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 3 icons are also illuminated
green since all three zones are activated.
Observe that the blower motor starts at a midrange speed.
If provided, verify that all four chromatherapy lights are illuminated. The cycling of colors may not
be readily apparent as the cycle time may be rather long.
NOTE: The purge cycle mode cannot be selected while there is water in the bath.
Rotate the outer ring through each of the available icon positions.
As each icon is selected to activate each mode, verify the icon begins flashing green. If the mode is
not operating, the icon will flash blue.
As each icon is deselected, verify each icon stops flashing.
Select and activate the air flow mode icon.
Press the up or down button to verify the air flow increases or decreases.
Stop the blower.
Check for water leakage at the bath, the bath drain, and the air harness.
Confirm the Individual Zone Control
Select and deactivate Zone 1.
Verify the air stops flowing in the corresponding zone.
Activate Zone 1.
Repeat for Zones 2 and 3.
Check all air harness connections for leaks.
