3 Applications

The paging microphone ECM-550DM is specially de-
signed for PA systems. It is equipped with switchable
chimes at the beginning and the end of each an-
nouncement and allows recording and replay of music,
audio signals, jingles, or announcements which are
frequently made. The maximum number of recordings
is 89. It is possible to prelisten to these recordings via
the integrated speaker or headphones connected and
to interrupt the replay for important announcements.
The storage capacity is 64 MB, corresponding to a
total recording time of approx. 60 minutes (at a data
rate of 128 Kbit/s).
4 Connections
1) Connect the output (2) via the supplied cable to the
input of an amplifier or mixer. The output is bal-
anced, however, unbalanced connection is also
possible.
2) For recording from a signal source with line level
(e. g. CD player), connect the signal source to the
.
audio input (14).
3) Connect headphones to the jack (11). In this case,
the speaker (8) will be switched off.
4) Connect the low-voltage plug of the power supply
unit to the supply jack (9), then connect the power
supply unit to a mains socket.
5) For recording management by means of a PC,
connect the small plug of the USB cable supplied to
the jack (7) and the other plug to the PC. For com-
munication with the PC, it is not necessary to
connect the power supply unit as power will be sup-
plied via the USB cable in this case.
