Commissioning

Before commissioning, carry out the following checks:

Check the enclosure for damage.
Check that mounting and installation have been performed correctly. When doing so,
US
check whether all covers and partitions for live parts have been installed and fastened.
US
Make sure that all openings/drilled holes in the enclosure are sealed with permissible
US
components. Dust and transport protection (adhesive tape or plastic caps) provided at the
factory must be replaced with appropriately certified components.
US
Make sure that seals and sealing systems are clean and undamaged.
US
Remove any foreign bodies.
US
If necessary, clean the connection chamber.
Check whether all the specified tightening torques have been observed.

Observe the relevant national standards and regulations in the country of use.

Maintenance
Check the following points in addition to the national regulations:

• Whether the clamping screws holding the electrical lines fit securely
US
• Whether the device enclosure and/or protective enclosure has/have cracks or other visible
US
signs of damage
• Whether the permissible temperatures are complied with
US
• Whether the parts are securely fastened
US
• Ensure it is being used as intended
US
8.2
Overhaul
US
Perform maintenance on the device according to the applicable national regulations and
US
the safety notes in these operating instructions ("Safety" chapter).

8.3
Repair
US
Repair work on the device must be performed only by R. STAHL.
US
Any damaged parts of the device or a damaged device must be replaced promptly to
ensure the electrical safety and explosion protection of the system.
