Depressurization
This process may be done through any of the following procedures:
a.- Press the rotating pressure valve/counterweight vertically and let the steam inside the pot
escape.
b.- Place the pot under cold running water.
c.- Let the pot slowly cool down. (The food will continue cooking for a few more minutes).
PROBABLE CAUSES OF FAULTS AND SOLUTIONS
The pressure in the cooker is not increasing:
* The heat source is insufficient. Increase its intensity.
* There is not enough liquid. Add more water.
* The rotary valve is badly placed. Check its position.
* The safety valve is obstructed. Clean it.
* The valve's lever/arm is up-open. Close it.
The steam is coming out through the lid:
* The lid is badly placed. Follow the instructions.
* The sealing joint is badly fitted. Follow the instructions.
* The sealing joint is damaged. It will have to be changed by a new joint.·
* The rim of the cooker or the lid is damaged (bump). Contact the manufacturer.
You cannot manage to open the cooker:
* Take it off the heat source. Make sure there is no pressure in the cooker before you
open it.
The safety system has been activated:
* Take it off the heat source. Leave the pressure cooker to cool. Check the condition
of the rotary valve hole and the rotary valve itself. Clean the valve as indicated in
point 4.
Through carelessness, the cooker was heated with nothing inside:
* Check the condition of the joint (it must not be hard or have marks).
* Check the condition of the bottom of the cooker (it must not have dents or
distortions)
Contact the manufacturer
The food is not cooked or they have burned:
* Check the cooking time.
* Check the strength of the heat source.
* Check if the rotary valve it properly placed
* Check the amount of water.
