Cleaning the brewing unit
In addition to the automatic cleaning pro-
gramme, the brewing unit should be remo-
ved regularly for cleaning.
Warning: Clean the brewing unit
without detergent and do not put it
in the dishwasher.
1.
Deploy the appliance fully (see "Deploy-
ment system").
2.
Switch the appliance to "energy saving
n
mode" with
(3).
3.
Switch the appliance off completely at
the power switch O/I (2); there should no
longer be any symbols lit.
4.
Grasp the door opener (21) and open the
door (20) to the brewing unit (25):

Slide the red lock (25 a) on the brewing
unit completely forward:

Press the red button (25 b), grasp the
brewing unit (25) by the recessed grips
and remove carefully.

Rinse the brewing unit (25) under run-
ning water.
8.
Wipe out the inside of the appliance with
a damp cloth.
9.
Allow the brewing unit and the inside of
the appliance to dry.
10.
Reinsert the brewing unit (25) fully into
the appliance. Slide the red lock (25 a)
back fully and close the door (20).
