3.3 Taking Ion balance measurements with the detachable electrode
3.3.1 Fit the detachable electrode to the STATIRON DZ4 housing as shown in Fig. 2.

3.3.3 To switch on the device, press the "power" button until the display lights up
3.3.4 To adjust the zero point (must be done before each measurement), connect the device and the detachable
electrode with a grounded object. Press the button for the zero point adjustment, the machine adjust
automatically.
3.3.5 When taking readings with the detachable electrode you have the option of recording only the highest
measured value. To do this, set the MAX mode.
3.3.6 To test the balance of ionizers, hold the DZ4 into the air stream about 30 cm from the air exit. Never hold
the device directly against or in front of the ionizer spray nozzles. Always observe the ionizer
manufacturer's measurement instructions. (Usual distance of measurement: 30cm)
Note: If the display shows "1" and begins to flash, the charging voltage has exceeded the measurable
range. Once this happens, turn off immediately to avoid damage.
3.3.8 To switch off the device, press the "power" button until the display turn off.
