PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USE
1. Remove all packaging materials, self-adhesive labels and accessories
from inside and outside of the tray, kettle and teapot.
2. Place the tray on a cool, clean, flat, stable, heat-resistant surface,
ensuring that the power cord runs along the rear of your work surface.
– Never place the tray on a hot or slippery surface or allow the power
cord to hang over a heat source (e.g. a gas burner or electric hob
plate).
– Do not use the tray other than with the supplied kettle and teapot.
3. Check that your mains power supply matches the power and voltage
ratings marked on the base of the appliance.
4. Always plug the appliance into an earthed power socket.
5. Connect the power cord to the tray.
6. Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
7. Clean the teapot as described in the "CARE AND CLEANING" section.
OPERATION
1. Plug the heating tray into a power socket (Fig. 1).
2. Press button A to switch on the hotplate. The 'On' light (A) lights up (Fig. 2).
3. Press to open the teapot lid. Remove the brewing basket (F). (Fig. 3)
4. Place the empty teapot on the hotplate (B) to pre-warm it (Fig. 4).
– The teapot is fragile. Handle with care.
– Never leave the empty teapot on the hotplate after use.
– Do not place anything other than the teapot on the hotplate.
– Do not place aluminium foil between the hotplate and the teapot.
5. Fill kettle with at least 0.5 l (Fig. 5).
– Never fill the kettle while it is standing on its base.
– Always use the kettle with its own scale filter.
