Empty your kettle or teapot and rinse five or six times. Repeat the
procedure if necessary.
Descaling the filter:
Soak the filter in white vinegar or a dilute citric acid solution.
TROUBLESHOOTING
IF THE APPLIANCE IS NOT VISIBLY DAMAGED
• The kettle does not operate or switches off before the water boils:
– Check that the appliance is plugged-in correctly.
– The kettle has been operated with no water in it, or limescale has
built up, triggering the boil-dry protection system. Allow the kettle to
cool and then fill with water.
Switch on the kettle: it should begin operating again after approximately
15 minutes.
• The hotplate does not work:
Check that the switch located on the hotplate is set to the On position.
IF YOUR TEAPOT OR KETTLE HAS BEEN DROPPED, IF IT LEAKS OR IF
THE POWER CORD, PLUG OR TRAY ARE VISIBLY DAMAGED
– Do not use the appliance. Never attempt to disassemble this
appliance or its safety devices.
Return the product to a Tefal approved After-Sales Service Centre, who
are the only agents authorised to repair it. Refer to the guarantee terms
and conditions and the list of service centres in the leaflet supplied with
the product.
The type and serial number are shown on the base of your appliance.
This product has been designed for domestic use only. Any commercial
use, inappropriate use or failure to comply with the instructions, the
manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will not
apply.
