Safety precautions
This symbol
together with one of the following words "Danger" or
"Warning" indicates the risk level deriving from failure to observe the prescribed
safety precautions:

1. General information
The following instructions will help you to achieve a good pump performance
and an easy installation without problems.
Read all instructions thoroughly.
The ACUARIA series is a vertical submersible pump providing trouble free
installation.
Conceived to operate with clear water, free of particles in suspension, at a
maximum temperature of 35
o
C.
All pumps have been manufactured in first quality material submitted to strict
hydraulic and electric controls and carefully verified.
For a correct installation, follow the directions in the given electrical schematic
chart and the operating and maintenance instructions. Failure to do this could
result in motor over-loading and other material or bodily damage on which we
decline all responsibility.
2. Installation
The pump should not rest on the bottom of the well or be too near the
walls. This can be avoided by suspending the pump by a cable hooked
to the handle on top of the pump.
Never suspend pump by its electric cable or by the discharge pipe.
Pump must always be totally submerged which will provide it with the
necessary cooling.
Make sure that the volume of flow in the well is bigger than needed to
prevent pump from running dry or from starting and stopping at higher
frequency than normal.
If the water level in the well has large fluctuations, it is recommended to
install a level control switch.
Fix electric cable and level control switch cable to the discharge pipe with
clamps in order to avoid any damage when handling pump.
The maximum immersion head is 20 mts.

1. Généralités
Nous vous conseillons de lire attentivemente les instructions fournies ci-après
afin de réussir une installation convenable, exempte de problèmes et facilitant
la réalisation des performances maximales dont votre électropompe est
capable.
Il s'agit de pompes submersibles verticales dont l'installation est aisée. Elles
sont conçues pour travailler avec des eaux propres, exemptes d'éléments en
suspension et à une température maximale ne devant pas dépasser 35
Les matériaux utilisés dans la construction de nos pompes sont de premier choix,
et on été soumis, à des stricts contrôles hydrauliques et électriques et, enfin,
vérifiés avec une rigueur extrême.
Un respect sans faille des instructions d'installation et d'emploi ainsi que du
schéma de connexions électriques évitera les surcharges au moteur et les
suites de n'importe quelle nature, qui pourraient en découler et dont nous
déclinons toute responsabilité.
3. Assembly of discharge pipe
The pumps are to be connected to a 1" pipe, however in the case of considerable
geometric head and long and sinuous pipes, it is recommended to use a pipe with a
larger diameter to reduce as much as possible the loss of head by friction and
obtain the best possible hydraulic performance.
Install a check valve to the outlet of the pump and you will prevent from emptying
each time pump stops.
If you choose a plastic pipe instead of a metal pipe, make sure that it can resist the
pressure produced by the pump.
Never let pipe bend over as, apart from not providing the desired flow, it would
obstruct the normal pump operation.

If you have installed any gate valve, open it completely. Connect electrical
supply switch; water will take some time to flow out at the end of the pipe. If
there is a considerable lenght of pipe, wait for a few minutes.
Check that the absorbed current is the same as that marked on the technical label
and adjust thermal relai conveniently (only three-phase versions).
If motor fails to start or there is no water at the end of the pipe, refer to the possible
faults, causes and solutions list for possible problems and how to correct them. You
will find this list at the end of this manual.

Les pompes sont livrées prêtes à être raccordées à un tuyau de 1". Cependant,
dans les cas où la hauteur géométrique est considérable et qu'il existe des
parcours longs et sinueux, il est conseillé d'utiliser des tuyaux d'un diàmetre plus
important afin d'éviter au maximum les pertes de charge par frottement et d'en
obtenir les plus hautes performances possibles.
Installez une valve de retenue à la sortie de la pompe afin d'éviter que le tuyau ne
se vide à chaque arrêt de la pompe.
Si vous choissisez un tuyau en plastique au lieu d'un tuyau métallique veillez à
ce qu'il supporte bien la pression fournie par la pompe. Evitez que ce tuyau soit

plié car outre ne pas fournir le débit souhaité, il entravera le fonctionnement
normal de la pompe.
4. Branchement électrique
The pump should be installed with a differential switch (1 fn = 30 mA).
The installation should have a switch with contact openings of at least 3
mm. Pumps are supplied with electric cable and plug.
To extend electric cable only use resin cable joints. Make sure that cable
colours of the pump coincide with extension cable colours.
Connection of the yellow-green earth cable is absolutely imperative.
Thermal protection must be supplied by the user (according to valid
installation regulations).
For a correct electrical connection, follow the instructions on fig. (3) and
fig. (4).
Verify that the voltage and frecuency of the supply correspond to the
values marked on the technical label.
Make sure that the value of the capacitor is the same as that described on
the label (only single phase versions).
Check that the pump is completely submerged.
If flow is less than expected, invert two phases of the supply on the
protection board (only three-phase version).
PUMP MUST NEVER BE DRY OPERATED.
Those pumps are free from Maintenance.
If pump is installed in periods of very low temperatures, keep pipes well
drained at all times when not in use.
In the event your pump is not to be operated for long periods of time, we
suggest you remove it from the well and keep it in a dry and well venti-
lated place.
Attention: In the event of damage, dismantling of the pump and repla-
cement of the electric cable should only be carried out by an authorised
service facility.
Les pompes ne doivent pas être posées sur le fond du puits ni placées trop
près des murs. Pour l'éviter il faudra suspendre la pompe par l'anse dont
elle est dotée sur sa partie haute à l'aide d'un câble.
Il ne faudra jamais suspendre la pompe par le câble électrique ou par le
tuyau de refoulement. Elle devra d'autre part rester entièrement
submergée afin de benéficier d'un bon refroidissement.
Assurez-vous que le débit du puits est plus important que celui dont
l'équipement a besoin afin d'éviter que la pompe ne travaille à sec ou
qu'elle ne soit contrainte à effectuer des démarrages et arrêts fréquents
supérieurs à la tolérance.
Si le puits subit des variations de niveau importantes, il est conseillé d'y
installer un équipement d'électrosondes de niveau.
Pour éviter d'éventuels dommages au câble d'alimentation du moteur
ainsi qu'à ceux des électrosondes de niveau, lorsque vous les
descendrez dans le puits, fixez-les au tuyau de refoulement à l'aide de
colliers.
Hauteur maximale d'immersion 20 m.
L'installation de la pompe devra être pourvue d'un interrupteur différen-
tiel (1 fn = 30 ma). L'installation électrique devra être dotée d'un interrup-
teur avec une ouverture des contacts de 3 mm. au minimum.
Les pompes sont livrées avec un câble électrique et fiche.
