General

LS31
The LS31 weld-on strain gage is mainly used for mea­
surements under severe conditions on large components,
when strain gages cannot be applied by the adhesive
method. The temperature range of this strain gages is
wider than that of a strain gage installed with a cold cur­
ing adhesive:
-200 °C ... +150 °C [-328 °F ... +302 °F]

Design

The LS31 strain gage consists of a Y-Series strain gage
(Constantan measuring grid encapsulated in polyimide)
which is installed on a metal carrier using EP310S hot
curing epoxy adhesive. The strain gage comes with insu­
lated stranded connection wires and a silicone rubber
covering agent.
