UPKEEP
• Always unplug the device before cleaning.
• Clean the tank and surfaces with a damp cloth or sponge.
• Dry carefully.
• Descale the heating tank periodically with (white) distilled vinegar: Pour
50 ml of water and 50 ml of (white) distilled vinegar into the device which
is cold and not plugged into the mains. Leave overnight and empty the
contents of the tank.
• Repeat if necessary until all the limescale has been removed. Plug the
device into the mains and operate two heating cycles with water only in
the tank (about 100 ml) in order to rinse well. Then, clean the inside of the
tank with a damp cloth.
• Never use a chemical descaler or a coffee machine descaler in the tank.
• Never soak the device in water.
• Check regularly that the heating unit is clean.
• After several cycles, a non-toxic white deposit (lime) may appear. If so,
complete a descaling cycle as above.
• Regular descaling is ESSENTIAL for the lifespan of your device.
