Witter F89B Instructions De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Tubular Mainframe
CP 1 10mm Coupling Packer
D 4 M12 x 90 x 1.75 Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and Large Flat Washers (40mm O.D.) Grade 10.9
E 2 19mm O.D. Bush, 53mm long
F 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolts, Nyloc Nuts and Flat Washers (30mm O.D.) Grade 10.9
CB 2 M16 x 65 Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electric Plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove the 6 bolts securing the lighting board to vehicle chassis, lower and support to allow access inside the
right hand chassis rail. Remove the 2 bolts securing the towing eye to the left hand chassis rail (leave towing eye
in place).
2. Loosely attach Mainframe (A) to chassis using bolts (F) with flat washers fitted inside chassis and attach to left
hand chassis rail using bolts (D) with flat washers positioned on the outside face of the chassis. Insert bushes (E)
inside right hand chassis rail and attach Mainframe (A) using bolts (D) with flat washers fitted on outside face of
chassis.
3. Refit lighting board. Fully tighten all bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar. Please refer to the vehicle specification for
the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M16 - 214 Nm / Grade 10.9: M12 – 130Nm
