MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
B 1 Coupling Packer
D 2 Sidearms
E 6 M12 x 40mm x 1.75mm Bolts, 4 Nyloc Nuts and 2 Lock Washers
F 8 M12 x 110mm x 1.75mm Bolts (Grade 10.9), Nyloc Nuts and Flat Washers (30mm)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
Note: A fuel tank shield may be required – refer to vehicle handbook.
FITTING
1. Remove bolts securing step bracket to vehicle chassis (4 bolts each side) , loosely attach Sidearms (D) to outside face of
chassis using Bolts (F) to existing bushed holes in vehicle chassis using Bolts (D) with Flat Washers fitted as shown
below.
2. Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) to Sidearms (D) using Bolts (E).
3. Fully tighten bolts. (Note: Chassis Bolts (F) are Grade 10.9 and should be tightened to 139Nm
Note: This towbar must be used with a Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value
greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M12 (8.8 Grade) - 95 Nm, M12 (10.9 Grade) - 139Nm, M16 - 214 Nm:
