If the battery pack fails to become charged,
please check
• whether there is voltage at the socket-outlet
• whether there is proper contact at the charging
contacts on the charger.
If the battery still fails to become charged, please
return
• the charger
• the battery pack
to our Customer Service Department.
To ensure that the battery pack provides long
service you should take care to recharge it
promptly.
You must recharge the battery pack when you
notice that the power of the jig saw drops.
Never fully discharge the battery pack. This will
cause the battery pack to develop a defect.
ATTENTION
Please charge the battery pack
regularly, for example, once every 6
months.
7.2 Changing the saw blade (B4)
Important. Always remove the battery
from machine before doing any work
on the saw!
Turn the ring of the blade holder (4) as shown in
Fig. 4 until the blade lets itself be slipped into the
slot of the blade holder.
When you now let go of the ring again, the ring
should return to its starting position.
Pull on the blade to check whether it sits tightly
in the holder.
Follow the instructions above in reverse order to
remove the saw blade.
8. Operation
8.1 Switching ON/OFF (B5)
To switch on:
Press the safety button (2) firstly and then press
the On/Off switch (3).
To switch off:
Release the ON/OFF switch.
8.2 Variable speed control (B5)
Infinitely variable speed control is possible with
the On/Off switch (3). The further you rotate the
switch, the higher the speed can achieve.
8.3 Working with the jig saw (B6/B7)
Switch on the jig saw with the on / off switch
(3) and select the desired speed with the speed
control (8).
Place the jig saw with the base plate (5) on the
workpiece and slowly move the jig saw along the
cutting line.
To cut wood, use the enclosed saw blade (14).
8.4 Setting the pendulum action (B8)
• The magnitude of the pendulum stroke can
be adjusted with the pendulum stroke selector
switch (16).
• You can adjust the cutting speed, the cutting
performance and the finish to the workpiece you
wish to saw.
The best combination of speed and pendulum
action depends on the material you wish to saw.
We recommend you to make a trial cut on a waste
piece in order to check the ideal settings.
8.5 Adjusting the cutting angle (B9-B10)
The cutting angle can be adjusted to the left or
