13. Notes about the recording function

During recording the image and sound from the corresponding camera are
always recorded.
#
If the selected storage is full (corresponding symbol lights red [36/42]), no
more recordings can be made. In this case insert a new storage, delete the
recordings by „ Storage format " [68] or activate the ring function [67].
#
Alternative to viewing recordings on a connected monitor, the storage can
be connected to a PC and viewed via a suitable viewer programme, eg.
Quicktime player.
#
The sound level can be adjusted on the monitor or PC.

14. Using the App

Notes:
#
To get access to the smart recorder via Internet, the WiFi router must be
connected with the internet.
#
The device ID number (DID, ID or device-ID) and the current password to be
entered to the smartphone or tablet PC, can be found in the screen menu
under „system information" [70]. The DID is also displayed on screen as a
QR code which can be scanned. This is also on the bottom side of the smart
recorder. A QR reader App must be installed on your device.
#
Movement in the image will be delayed (depending on the quality of the
WLAN / internet connection).
#
Maximun 3 users can access the smart recorder simultaneously per App.
#
If the Settings are accessed per App, then no other user has access to the
system.
#
The App will be updated and improved, and some described functions may
change.
Warning:
As with all tablets / smartphones, considerable costs can arise from internet
connection. A suitable flat rate contract is recommended.
Initial use of the App
!
Load the free App „WDVR Cam" from the App or Play store to your
smartphone or tablet PC (iPhone4S / corresponding generation iPad :
from iOS6.1.4 ; Android dual core 1,5 G Smartphone /Tablet from 3.0).
The QR code for the App is on the front side of this manual.

Open the App. Select „device" (iOS) or a side appears for the registration
of a new smart recorder (Android).

Register your smart recorder as follows:
!
Give your smart recorder a name.
!
Enter the current password (factory setting: 123456).
!
Enter the device identification number (DID/ ID / device-ID - see Notes
above) manually or scan the device QR code.
!
Close the screen menu, otherwise no images can be received.
!
Tick on the desired cameras 1 to 4.
!
Select the desired smart recorder, and a quad screen appears without
images.
!

Tap on and in a short time the images will appear from the connected
and previously selected cameras. „No signal" appears if a camera signal
cannot be received, there is no camera paired with this channel, or if the
screen menu is opened.

Live image side

To view a camera image full screen, tap twice on the camera image.
!
To return to quad display tap twice on the dark frame next to the image.
Note: When the main menu is open in the screen menu, a frozen image will
be displayed.
Snapshot
To make a still photo from live images, tap the camera symbol. The photo will
be stored on the smartphone / tablet PC.

Select „device" or „device list". All connected smart recorders will be
displayed in a list through which can be scrolled.

Now you can:

select to view a smart recorder by tapping on it. Tap on the empty quad

display and then on
!
Register a further smart recorder: Tap on „New" (Android) or enter a
new smart recorder (iOS). Proceed as in „first use". Up to 12 smart
recorders can be entered.

Change the registration settings of the smart recorder as follows: For
Android by touching the name of the smart recorder until a window
opens. Then tap on „Edit" to open a side in which changes can be
made. For iOS tap on the „i" symbol next to the smart recorder name
and make the changes.

Playing recordings

!
Select „play" or the directory symbol.
!
Select the storage device.
!
Select the camera channel.
!
Select the day.
!
By tapping on the recording (in chronological order) the recording will be
played.
Note: The recorded audio cannot be played over the App.
Manual Recording
!
Select „remote recording settings" or „recording"
!
To start recording a camera activate the corresponding bar by tapping it.
!
To stop the recording deactivate the bar by tapping it again.
!
The recording will be automatically stopped, when „remote settings" is
selected or on the screen menu the main menu is opened.
Push notification- notification upon motion detection
!
Select „PUSH" or „push notification settings".
!
Activate the notification.
!
Enter a name for your mobile device.
When your smart recorder detects motion, a notification will be sent to the set
devices.
In order to minimize the number of push notifications, a further notification can
be sent only after a time delay of two minutes, even if within these two minutes
a motion is detected.
