note:
You may reduce the appliance from 5/8" to 4/7" venting for horizontal runs with a vertical rise application.

2.7.1 reduced vent clearance to combustibles

The minimum clearances around the horizontal vent pipe to the combustible material may be reduced from
3" (76.2mm) / 2" (50.8mm) to 1" (25.4mm) in installations with a minimum of 52" (132 cm) vertical rise made
immediately off the appliance collar and where the vent has been reduced to a 4/7" from 5/8" at the appliance.
