3. Unpacking

Check if the delivery is complete and no damage occurred during transportation.
Complete system including the accessories consists of the following:
CleanAIR® D-Bug powered air purifying respirator (PAPR)
Exchangeable battery
Combined filter A1B1E1P R SL (set of 2 pcs)
Belt with the unit holder
Light flexi hose
Battery charger
Flow indicator
User manual
4. Before first use
Make sure that:
All components are intact, with no visible defects or damage (especially no cracks, holes or leakages).
Replace all damaged or worn parts. Attend to good condition of the hose and sealing components.
The hose is connected properly to both the PAPR unit and the head piece.
The head piece is supplied with air, when the PAPR unit has been switched on.
Air flow through the hose is sufficient.
Before the first use of a new battery* it is recommended, at least once, to discharge the battery completely
and then fully recharge to restore its maximum capacity! For maximum battery life, follow the storage instructi-
ons provided in this manual (see Article 7 „Storage")!
* (or a battery that has been stored for a longer period of time)
Air flow test
1. Disconnect the air hose from the unit.
2. Connect flow indicator to the unit with a fully charged battery.
3. Switch on the PAPR unit.
The air flow is insufficient, if the pointer's top edge enters red zone – the filter must be replaced!
Switching the unit on and off – the unit is switched off and on by changing the battery's position. The
battery can be positioned into two positions, whith one meaning ON and the other meaning OFF. To change
the battery's position release its position lock and move the battery into the required position. (see article 6
„Battery replacement")
Warning signal – the unit is equipped with a system that alerts the wearer about decreased battery voltage
15–25 minutes before the unit stops working. The warning signal combines acoustic and visual signaliza-
tion (see warning indicator). The wearer must leave the contaminated area and/or replace the battery
immediately upon activation of the warning signal.
